News Feeds
The News Feeds feature in Radio Prep allows you to integrate multiple RSS feeds into the system, giving presenters an easy way to stay up-to-date with the latest news from a variety of sources. You can create multiple categories, such as news, showbiz, sports, or music news, and then add as many RSS feeds as you like under each category. This ensures that all the latest stories are pulled in automatically.
Setting Up and Using News Feeds:
Once you've set up your categories and added your chosen RSS feeds, presenters can simply click into the News Feeds section. From there, they can select a category and see a feed of the latest articles, complete with images and headlines. If they click on any news item, it will open the full article on the original website, making it easy to read more details.
Pinning News to Prep Boards:
Since RSS feeds are always updating, a story that’s available today might be gone tomorrow. To make sure you don’t lose a story you want to talk about later, you can pin it to a Prep Board. Once pinned, the story will remain on your Prep Board until you remove it, giving you a reliable way to keep track of topics you want to cover.
Talk-Up Ideas:
Next to each news item, there’s a small icon with speech bubbles. Clicking on this icon will take you to the Talk-Up Ideas section, where Radio Prep uses AI to suggest related topics you can discuss on air. It will generate a handful of ideas to help you expand on the news story and make it engaging for your audience.
In summary, News Feeds let you pull in the latest headlines, organize them by category, and easily incorporate them into your show planning so you’re always ready to talk about current events.
