Live Reads

The Live Reads feature in Radio Prep is a powerful tool that allows program controllers to set up on-air talking points for presenters. Essentially, it lets you create detailed, scheduled announcements and ensure that the right presenter is reading the right content at the right time.

How It Works:

With Live Reads, you can create a new read by giving it a title, setting a start time and an expiry date, and then adding the content you want the presenter to deliver. You can also tag specific shows or presenters so that only the relevant people see that particular read.

Scheduling and Expiry:

One of the best parts is that you can schedule these live reads ahead of time. Once the expiry date hits, the read will automatically disappear from the list, so presenters are never dealing with outdated information.

AI-Enhanced Features:

To make creating live reads even easier, Radio Prep includes a couple of neat AI-powered options. You can use the green microphone button to simply speak your content out loud, and the system will transcribe what you say into a written live read. Alternatively, you can upload an image or take a photo—like a poster or a press release—and Radio Prep will transcribe that into a neat piece of text for you. You can always edit the read afterward if you need to make changes.

Logging and Access:

Every presenter can access the Live Reads section and see what’s relevant for their show. When they actually read something on air, they can log the transmission time so there's a record of when each announcement was made.

Overall, the Live Reads feature is designed to be intuitive and efficient, making it easy for radio stations to keep their on-air content fresh and well-organized.
